About the role

  • TD Relationship Manager growing commercial banking relationships and business portfolios. Structuring credit, cash management, and banking solutions for commercial customers in Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a superior customer experience while driving profitable business growth
  • Build new relationships and deepen existing customer relationships for credit and non-credit products and services
  • Manage an assigned commercial business portfolio
  • Develop a shadow portfolio of target businesses
  • Provide creative products and solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Use sales platforms to understand customer and target needs, industries, and markets
  • Structure financing, cash management, and broader business solutions
  • Develop and maintain centre of influence strategies and relationships
  • Identify and refer customer and prospect opportunities to internal Bank partners
  • Participate in networking events as a TD brand ambassador
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to attract, acquire, and retain customers
  • Promote the full suite of products, sales, services, and banking capabilities
  • Meet or exceed business targets
  • Negotiate for relationship profitability based on customer risk profiles
  • Contribute to credit applications, including risk assessment, credit structure, due diligence, and credit presentation
  • Oversee account management, monitoring, and compliance with guidelines and limits
  • Identify and manage risks and escalate high-risk transactions or activities
  • Develop productive relationships with external partners
  • Participate as a team member and support a positive, equitable work environment
  • Provide thought leadership and transfer knowledge within the team and business unit
  • Keep current on emerging trends and business tools and techniques
  • Participate in performance management, development, and cross-training activities
  • Mentor colleagues and share best practices
  • Lead and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Report generally to the Senior Manager Commercial Sales

Requirements

  • Undergraduate/Graduate degree and/or 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Expert-level credit acumen
  • Ability to interpret and analyze customer financial statements
  • Expert knowledge of products, sales, services, credit management practices and processes
  • Knowledge of market trends, industries, customers, and broader economic factors
  • Ability to structure customized financing, cash management, and business solutions
  • Ability to assess credit risk, perform due diligence, and prepare credit presentations
  • Ability to manage accounts within guidelines and assigned limits
  • Ability to comply with regulatory and operational risk requirements
  • Ability to use sales platforms
  • Ability to develop centre of influence strategies and relationships
  • Ability to work with internal and external business partners and stakeholders
  • 7+ years of relevant experience if no degree is held
