About the role

  • Project Manager delivering large, multidisciplinary construction projects impacting communities in Ontario. Overseeing project safety, quality, schedule, and financial targets in a full-time site-based role.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project
  • Applies the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance with Ledcor HS&E standards
  • Creates and facilitates the Project Quality Program to ensure project materials are supplied and work is completed accordingly
  • Ensures that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, and applicable building codes
  • Develop and maintain the construction schedule in conjunction with the project team to meet milestones and completion dates
  • Leads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project’s ongoing progression
  • Provides strong leadership to construction team members
  • Identifies and manages opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets
  • Maintains, tracks, and reports all financial aspects of the project

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as Project Manager with a major general contractor managing large, complex industrial, commercial or institutional projects
  • Completion of post-secondary education in civil engineering or a related field is required
  • Full cycle new build project experience working on Major Projects
  • PMP or relevant certification is preferred
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying contract law and language
  • Experience with project management tools such as Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam
  • Strong technical, communication, organizational, managerial, and planning skills
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities
