About the role
- Cybersecurity specialist monitoring threats, assessing vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents. Protecting Tecsys supply-chain solutions serving healthcare, pharmacy, retail, and logistics organizations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM logs and alerts to identify potential security incidents or breaches
- Assist with incident detection and response, including investigating and resolving incidents, performing root cause analysis, and recommending preventive measures
- Conduct routine cyber security threat and vulnerability assessments across infrastructure, platforms, and application workloads
- Maintain Cyber Threat and Vulnerability Management program documentation and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with teams to resolve security vulnerabilities and information security risks
- Develop, implement, and enforce security controls, policies, and procedures with multiple teams
- Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls, policies, and procedures
- Research and stay current with cyber security threats, trends, and best practices
- Collaborate with senior analysts and participate in projects as required
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Passion towards Cyber Security and eagerness to continuously learn
- Knowledge of basic cyber security concepts, including network security, threat intelligence, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, SIEM, and endpoint protection
- Familiarity with common and latest forms of malware, attacker tools, and techniques
- Basic understanding of networking protocols and operating systems
- Familiarity or knowledge of public cloud IaaS environments and SaaS solutions
- Understanding of industry standards and frameworks such as NIST, MITR, CIS, PCI, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Canadian citizenship, Canadian permanent residency, or a valid Canadian work permit
- Relevant certifications are an asset
