About the role

  • Cybersecurity specialist monitoring threats, assessing vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents. Protecting Tecsys supply-chain solutions serving healthcare, pharmacy, retail, and logistics organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor SIEM logs and alerts to identify potential security incidents or breaches
  • Assist with incident detection and response, including investigating and resolving incidents, performing root cause analysis, and recommending preventive measures
  • Conduct routine cyber security threat and vulnerability assessments across infrastructure, platforms, and application workloads
  • Maintain Cyber Threat and Vulnerability Management program documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve security vulnerabilities and information security risks
  • Develop, implement, and enforce security controls, policies, and procedures with multiple teams
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls, policies, and procedures
  • Research and stay current with cyber security threats, trends, and best practices
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and participate in projects as required

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Passion towards Cyber Security and eagerness to continuously learn
  • Knowledge of basic cyber security concepts, including network security, threat intelligence, incident response, and vulnerability management
  • Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, SIEM, and endpoint protection
  • Familiarity with common and latest forms of malware, attacker tools, and techniques
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols and operating systems
  • Familiarity or knowledge of public cloud IaaS environments and SaaS solutions
  • Understanding of industry standards and frameworks such as NIST, MITR, CIS, PCI, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Canadian citizenship, Canadian permanent residency, or a valid Canadian work permit
  • Relevant certifications are an asset
