Responsibilities
- Analyze financial and operational performance data to identify trends and support strategic decision-making
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support financial planning and budgeting processes
- Evaluate and improve financial and operational processes to increase efficiency and achieve cost savings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management
- Conduct financial analyses to support business development initiatives and investment decisions
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification, along with relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, with a strong interest in accounting and finance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification, along with relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, with a strong interest in information technology, cloud technologies, and cloud service providers
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as an IT or finance professional, with experience in IT management
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and concepts related to public cloud services
- Ability to develop strategies, models, processes, and tools for managing IT-related costs
- Understanding of cloud service billing practices and procedures
- Advanced knowledge and skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal, consulting, and facilitation skills, combined with analytical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential for effective communication with clients, vendors, business partners, and colleagues outside Quebec
- AWS, Azure, and/or GCP certifications; FinOps Practitioner, Cloud Financial Management, Total Business Management, or an equivalent certification is an asset
- Experience in cloud computing is an asset
- Experience with Power BI is an asset
