- Frequently pitch compelling story ideas
- Develop sources to break news and produce exclusive stories

- Think beyond standard storytelling formats
- Participate in Globe subscriber events
Requirements
- At least five years’ experience reporting for a news organization
- Interest and experience covering politics
- Ability to identify Alberta issues that will resonate beyond the province
- Strong, versatile writing across hard news, human-interest features, and explanatory journalism
- Solid news judgment with a track record of enterprise work
- Comfort working in varied formats, including live blogs, newsletters, video, and audio
- Cover letter with three links to previous work and a resume written by the applicant, not AI
