About the role
- Family Ministries Associate leading kids and youth discipleship at Village Church Calgary. Recruiting volunteers, coordinating ministry programs, and supporting family-focused church initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and support the Family Ministries volunteer team
- Coordinate Sunday classroom and midweek youth preparation, including curriculum, supplies, crafts, and resources
- Send weekly lesson communications to volunteers
- Run monthly Lead Team meetings and bi-annual volunteer trainings
- Organize quarterly Parent Labs/Huddles
- Manage the Family Ministry budget and support yearly strategy planning
- Keep classrooms equipped and ready
- Keep volunteer records up to date
- Write a monthly Family Ministry newsletter
- Partner with the Family Ministry Director and staff team on church-wide initiatives and events
- Help create a safe, welcoming, excellent environment for kids and families
