Application Support Analyst troubleshooting travel applications for HIS Canada Travel, a wholesale and retail travel company.
Supporting business units, vendors, and IT teams across Toronto or Montreal hybrid operations.
Responsibilities
Apply advanced subject matter knowledge to business issues and serve as a subject matter expert for business application systems
Investigate and troubleshoot application problems, liaising with business, vendors, and IT groups for timely resolution
Contribute to new ideas, methods, and processes for supported business units
Provide guidance to Business Analysts and other IT staff
Support merge back / TTS emulators
Review reports including test bookings, failed bookings, and QA reports
Write and maintain application support documents
Provide occasional after-hours support during implementations
Provide on-call support as required
Perform other duties assigned by management
Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an application support role
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical support role
College or University degree or certificate in Computer Science or equivalent in an IT related field
Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products
Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
High level of personal energy and ability to maintain that activity level under conditions of time, pressure and stress
Sensitivity to and skilled in satisfying customer needs and concerns
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Very good knowledge of travel systems
Ability to provide occasional after-hours support, including evenings and weekends, during implementations
Ability to provide on-call support as required
