About the role
- Senior Software Engineer developing systems for Tubi's content platform. Engaging across backend, frontend, AI, and infrastructure at one of streaming's largest services.
Responsibilities
- Work on systems that sit at the heart of Tubi's business
- Partner with the Video Team, Content Operations, Business Affairs, Ad Tech, and external creators/refiners
- Power seamless content ingestion
- Run one of streaming's largest video processing workloads
- Automate the content lifecycle end to end
- Build the content data model and high-throughput services
- Design pipelines and APIs for AI-native operations
- Drive down streaming costs through architectural decisions
- Craft production-grade frontends for creators, partners, and Content Ops
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production systems
- Depth in backend distributed systems (Elixir, Erlang, Go, Scala, Python, Ruby) or modern frontend (TypeScript, React)
- Experience with background job processing frameworks (e.g., Sidekiq, Celery, Oban)
- Familiarity with gRPC/Protocol Buffers and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, and caching technologies
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (5+ years industry experience)
