Area Field Manager expanding U-Haul’s independent dealership network and managing route profitability. Servicing equipment, training dealers, and supporting moving communities across Ontario.
Responsibilities
Work with small businesses within the designated route to prospect, open, and grow the U-Haul dealership organization
Develop and manage relationships with small business owners and U-Haul dealerships
Provide insight into local markets and train and educate dealers on potential growth areas
Manage route profit and loss through analysis and grow transactions by providing products and services to communities served
Service and maintain U-Haul equipment and displays
Work with support staff to ensure dealership success within the route
Operate a properly stocked and maintained U-Haul service vehicle
Perform minor repair and maintenance on U-Haul equipment
Arrange recovery of lost, stolen, or abandoned U-Haul equipment
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University
Requirements
Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to obtain a D.O.T. health certificate from a federally registered medical examiner
Must be 18 or older
Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted
Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals
May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields
