About the role

  • Proposal Developer leading client-focused renewables bids for Ulteig, an engineering firm transforming critical infrastructure. Coordinating technical content, estimates, reviews, and submissions across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned Renewables proposal efforts from intake through final submission
  • Plan proposals, develop schedules, coordinate stakeholders, develop documents, support estimates, facilitate reviews, and manage final production
  • Review RFPs, intake information, and client requirements to identify missing information, compliance needs, scope clarifications, subcontractor needs, and RFI items
  • Develop proposal documents, exhibits, and sales materials using approved templates, Templafy content libraries, brand standards, and industry best practices
  • Research, analyze, write, edit, and organize accurate, persuasive, client-focused, compliant proposal content
  • Prepare proposal development plans, manage assignments and communications, and organize proposal responses
  • Support estimate development by initiating drafts, identifying inputs, aligning scope with estimate assumptions, and tracking updates
  • Partner with Sales, Technical Services, Field Services, Project Management, Legal, Safety, Quality, Procurement, and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate kickoff, progress, Pink/Green, Red, and Gold review activities
  • Set up and maintain Teams folders, group chats, Loop components, RFI logs, review trackers, and schedule reminders
  • Manage comments, revisions, approvals, signatures, and final PDF production
  • Coordinate final packaging, electronic submission, and delivery according to client instructions and deadlines
  • Support proposal closeout, reusable content identification, content updates, and lessons learned
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, tools, templates, standard content, resource libraries, and process documentation
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders to refine and communicate project scope
  • Manage or facilitate subcontractor elements as needed
  • Lead internal opportunity-specific meetings
  • Participate in developing processes, efficiency tools, and databases
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, project management, engineering, technology, renewable energy, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2–6 years of experience in proposal development, project coordination, project management, technical writing, estimating support, engineering support, or related work in Power, Renewables, infrastructure, or consulting environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines, priorities, documents, and stakeholder inputs
  • Ability to work effectively across diverse teams and influence without direct authority
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, ask clarifying questions, identify gaps, and determine practical paths forward
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent pursuits in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Openness to applying evolving technology and AI tools
  • Must have permanent authorization to work in Canada
  • Preferred: proposal experience in renewable energy, power delivery, engineering consulting, utility, EPC, or infrastructure markets
  • Preferred: familiarity with Shipley color review processes or similar methodologies
  • Preferred: experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Loop, Templafy, proposal databases, content management tools, Adobe InDesign, or Adobe Illustrator
  • Preferred: experience supporting scope and fee proposals, qualifications-based proposals, cost estimates, resumes, org charts, compliance matrices, or client-specific proposal packages
  • Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, people, business, client-centric, ownership, follow-through, accountability, and attention-to-detail skills
