Responsibilities
Serve as project coordinator for an international research network on wetlands as nature-based climate solutions
Foster positive relationships with project team members, collaborators, and partners
Coordinate meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action items, and follow-ups
Review and assess requirements needed to meet project timelines
Inform stakeholders of project progress
Maintain project records
Promote research initiatives to increase program visibility and reputation
Prepare draft program reports and summaries from collected data
Provide non-supervisory administrative guidance as a resource to others
Coordinate a project involving academic institutions, government and non-governmental agencies, industries, investigators, technicians, students, and postdoctoral researchers
Support research focused on mapping wetlands, measuring greenhouse gas emissions, determining carbon storage potential, and modelling landscape effects
Requirements
Master's Degree in a relevant field or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
Minimum three years proven experience of project coordination in a related research setting or similar environment
Strong grasp of project management fundamentals, including coordinating project resources, engaging diverse stakeholders, establishing milestones, and communicating project deliverables and status
Experience liaising and managing e-mail and phone communications with a large and diverse group of project participants
Experience using social media platforms, newsletter platforms and website content management software for outreach communications and content maintenance would be ideal
Experience managing registration and logistics of virtual meetings/webinars using Zoom and Teams
Experience tracking, monitoring and handling project expenses
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources and stakeholders
Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet competing priorities and deadlines
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
