About the role

  • NOC Analyst II monitoring and troubleshooting networks and systems for VC3, an IT provider serving municipalities and organizations across the United States and Canada. Mentoring junior analysts and maintaining uptime.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network and system performance using various monitoring tools and software
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex network and system issues, escalating as necessary
  • Configure and deploy systems and network devices in coordination with Backup Specialists and Toolset Orchestration Specialists
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network and system configurations and changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement solutions
  • Monitor and respond to alerts and notifications from network and system monitoring tools
  • Communicate network and system issues promptly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours incidents as needed
  • Mentor and train Analyst I staff on network and system monitoring best practices
  • Create and properly document tickets to account for time
  • Manage personal workload and meet service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Perform additional duties as required

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in network and system monitoring or related field
  • Experience with network and system monitoring tools
  • ConnectWise Ticketing, OpenDNS, Kaseya VSA, and PRTG are a plus
  • Knowledge of advanced networking concepts such as load balancing, VPN, and firewalls
  • Advanced understanding of server and operating system concepts, including Windows and Linux
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
  • Must meet Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements post-employment
  • Subject to criminal and department of motor vehicles background checks
