Senior Software Engineer building AI/ML predictive analytics for Aquatic Informatics’ water data software. Developing cloud-native applications, intelligent agents, and digital twins.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the technical development of predictive analytics products
Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, domain experts, and business leaders
Develop applications that detect sensor anomalies, digital twins that simulate water treatment plants, and LLM-powered agents that synthesize water data
Own features end to end, including requirements, technical design, implementation, code review, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting
Build and operate cloud-native services on AWS and Azure
Write clean and scalable Angular frontend and C# backend code
Champion AI adoption and improve software development lifecycle processes while following AI governance best practices
Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and team health
Manage and enhance development infrastructure, including build and test systems
Improve testing frameworks and contribute to unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
Report to the Director of Engineering & Predictive Analytics
Requirements
Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of industry experience designing, building, and operating large-scale, data-intensive, cloud-native applications using microservices architectures on AWS or Azure
Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
Strong background in Microsoft development (.NET, C#, and related technologies)
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Genuine interest in using AI to accelerate software development
Hands-on experience with agentic engineering and AI-assisted development workflows
Expertise in database design and development using SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
Background in environmental science, time series data, IoT, or industrial controls is an asset
Exposure to data science or machine learning concepts
Experience leading and mentoring junior developers
