About the role

  • Account Manager guiding client strategy and digital marketing projects at VERB, a Halifax-based agency. Managing relationships, budgets, timelines, campaigns, and web development from Discovery to Launch.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage client relationships and projects, proactively offering sound solutions to issues
  • Foster and nurture positive working relationships with internal and external clients through frequent, professional, strategic communication
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts by proposing and introducing new solutions and services based on clients' needs
  • Oversee marketing retainers and projects, including Social/SEO/GEO retainers, Paid Media, and campaigns, in partnership with subject matter experts
  • Oversee and manage small to medium-scale web development and digital marketing projects from Discovery to Launch
  • Manage overall project timelines with support from Project Managers and Account Coordinators
  • Manage overall project budgets and find efficiencies while keeping projects within scope
  • Collaborate with relevant VERB departments and engage subject matter experts on projects and new initiatives
  • Maintain working knowledge of client brand standards and assets
  • Uncover and articulate research, insight, and strategic models to advance clients' business interests
  • Mentor Account Coordinators, supporting career development and onboarding as necessary
  • Champion positive employee morale by encouraging and energizing the wider VERB team

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of relevant agency experience
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, advertising, business, communications, public relations, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to present to clients and internal management
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks, i.e., building decks, pulling together budgets, completing contact reports, etc.
  • Ability to manage timelines and budgets while collaborating with subject matter experts who own execution
  • Highly proactive and demonstrates initiative to find creative solutions to problems
  • Working understanding of SEO/GEO, SEM, web analytics, social and traditional media
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized with the ability to function in a fast-paced business environment
