Global Mobility Tax Manager advising multinational clients on Canadian and US individual tax compliance. Managing cross-border assignments, payroll analysis, and global client delivery teams.
Responsibilities
Review and sign tax returns for globally mobile employees
Provide tax and payroll advisory services to multinational companies and globally mobile employees
Oversee and coordinate remote client project teams across global delivery centers
Act as the main client contact and provide tax guidance for business travelers
Identify new business opportunities within existing client relationships and expand the client portfolio
Provide proactive recommendations based on market trends and regulatory changes
Analyze compensation and payroll data
Prepare documentation for tax optimization and maintain detailed tax records
Present key findings to management, auditors, and tax authorities
Research international tax issues and evolving tax laws
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop integrated client solutions
Reduce tax-related risks and costs while ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in Canadian and US individual tax planning for employees
At least 1 year of experience in people management, including resource allocation, project workflows, budgets, billing, workload balancing, and client satisfaction
Preferred experience with cross-border movement, foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance, tax equalization, and international assignee populations
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and a proactive attitude
Exposure to AI and emerging technologies, with ability to leverage AI-enabled tools
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Economics, Finance, International Business, Management, or Quantitative Finance
US CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent designation
