About the role

  • Global Mobility Tax Manager advising multinational clients on Canadian and US individual tax compliance. Managing cross-border assignments, payroll analysis, and global client delivery teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review and sign tax returns for globally mobile employees
  • Provide tax and payroll advisory services to multinational companies and globally mobile employees
  • Oversee and coordinate remote client project teams across global delivery centers
  • Act as the main client contact and provide tax guidance for business travelers
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing client relationships and expand the client portfolio
  • Provide proactive recommendations based on market trends and regulatory changes
  • Analyze compensation and payroll data
  • Prepare documentation for tax optimization and maintain detailed tax records
  • Present key findings to management, auditors, and tax authorities
  • Research international tax issues and evolving tax laws
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop integrated client solutions
  • Reduce tax-related risks and costs while ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Canadian and US individual tax planning for employees
  • At least 1 year of experience in people management, including resource allocation, project workflows, budgets, billing, workload balancing, and client satisfaction
  • Preferred experience with cross-border movement, foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance, tax equalization, and international assignee populations
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and a proactive attitude
  • Exposure to AI and emerging technologies, with ability to leverage AI-enabled tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Economics, Finance, International Business, Management, or Quantitative Finance
  • US CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent designation
