About the role

  • Senior Manager advising Vialto clients on Canadian and US global mobility tax, payroll, and compliance. Leading teams and growing global mobility consulting relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach Vialto teams, recognizing strengths and development needs
  • Resolve issues preventing teams from working effectively
  • Analyze complex ideas and proposals and develop client recommendations
  • Develop solutions using multiple information sources and stakeholder perspectives
  • Review and sign tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees
  • Advise clients on tax, payroll, and global mobility policy
  • Coordinate payroll tax and social security calculations and reporting with teams and client finance and HR departments
  • Advise on assignment structures, tax treaties, and tax-efficient benefits
  • Monitor international tax law and regulatory developments and advise clients on business impacts
  • Introduce clients to other service lines and collaborate with subject matter experts
  • Research country-specific tax issues
  • Implement global mobility tax strategies to minimize company and employee liabilities
  • Identify business prospects within existing client accounts
  • Expand the client portfolio and nurture client relationships to drive revenue growth
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities

Requirements

  • Extensive Canadian and US tax technical knowledge
  • Experience in expatriate tax planning and global mobility policy and administration design
  • Proven experience growing revenue through identifying client needs and developing recommendations
  • Experience building and maintaining client relationships and communicating value propositions
  • Skills managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, collections, and complex written and verbal materials
  • Ability to monitor team workloads while meeting client expectations
  • Ability to provide timely, meaningful feedback and keep leadership informed
  • Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment
  • Experience with new and existing technologies, digitization solutions, large complex data sets, data models, and data visualization tools
  • Ability to develop and negotiate client pricing strategies, review contracts, and introduce pricing options
  • Exposure to AI and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • US CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent designation
  • No less than 7 years of experience
