About the role
- Développeur Power Platform concevant des applications stratégiques pour moderniser les outils des employés de la Ville de Montréal. Automatisation des déploiements, tests, support applicatif et revues de code.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve strategic applications to simplify, centralize, and modernize the tools used by City employees
- Design solutions within the Power Platform ecosystem (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
- Act as a technical expert and ensure module interoperability, along with a comprehensive view of the product architecture
- Automate deployments in PaaS/SaaS cloud environments by applying DevOps practices
- Participate in application design and development
- Define the functional characteristics of interfaces
- Design and coordinate comprehensive application test plans
- Document results and analyses, and identify functional and non-functional testing needs
- Provide support for applications in production and ensure their performance
- Conduct code reviews and assist less experienced developers
- Develop, modify, and manage the growth of applications, their components, and their integration
- Select appropriate technical options
- Optimize application development and maintenance
- Ensure component interoperability, functional integrity, and system reliability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or academic equivalent) in computer science or another relevant field
- Two years of experience related to the position's responsibilities
- Experience developing business applications
- Programming languages: .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, or PowerShell
- Knowledge of Power Platform: Power Apps (Canvas and model-driven), Power Automate, and/or Dataverse
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC), DevOps, and continuous deployment
- Candidates must be recommended following the SPVM security clearance process
- Knowledge of relational databases (an asset)
