- Software Developer in Test II ensuring automated quality for Warner Bros. Discovery’s CNN Digital products. Building test suites and supporting reliable releases across web, mobile, OTT, and backend platforms.
Responsibilities
- Own and contribute to testing cycles from analysis, planning, and development through execution
- Define test approaches and build test scenarios
- Pair with senior engineers to build and iterate automated tests and create new solutions
- Participate in test case and code reviews
- Provide input through technical documentation and stakeholder interaction
- Identify, diagnose, debug, and resolve technical software-testing challenges
- Follow testing best practices and cultivate a quality-focused culture through test automation
- Contribute to process improvements and maintain the long-term health of manual and automated testing suites
- Work with other Software Developers in Test to monitor and implement process and strategy changes
- Stay updated on testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices
- Ensure quality releases of CNN Digital products throughout the software development lifecycle
Requirements
- 2+ years of software testing automation experience
- Working knowledge of at least one test automation framework
- Working knowledge in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java
- Demonstrated working knowledge of debugging tools and CI/CD process
- Conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and implications
- Solid understanding and experience with unit, functional, integration, API, load, and performance tests
- Strong Web domain knowledge
- Working knowledge of digital payments projects
- Good understanding of digital product development for web, mobile, OTT, and backend infrastructure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Charles Proxy, Postman, BrowserStack, or similar software/testing tools
