About the role
- GCP Architect modernizing healthcare data platforms on Google Cloud. Designing secure FHIR, analytics, integration, and disaster-recovery architectures.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture workshops with client and partner stakeholders
- Design and document end-to-end GCP architecture and target-state solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Architect data ingestion and processing using Dataflow, Healthcare API/FHIR, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Firestore, and Redis
- Design analytics architecture using BigQuery and GCS
- Design and secure FHIR Store and Consent API implementations
- Define orchestration using Cloud Composer/Airflow and Artifact Registry
- Establish IAM, Secret Manager, and Cloud KMS security patterns
- Design hybrid connectivity using Cloud Interconnect and secure private connectivity
- Architect API integrations using IBM APIC or Apigee
- Define resilience, backup, multi-region, and disaster recovery strategies
- Collaborate with observability and security teams
- Develop current-state to target-state implementation and migration roadmaps
Requirements
- Strong GCP Cloud Architecture experience
- Hands-on expertise with BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Cloud Composer, GCS, Cloud SQL, Firestore, and Memorystore/Redis
- Strong Terraform experience for multi-project GCP provisioning, including VPC, IAM, Interconnect, service accounts, and organization policies
- Experience with Cloud Build or Jenkins/GitLab CI, container pipelines, Artifact Registry, and GitOps
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Interconnect, IAM, Secret Manager, Cloud KMS, Private Service Connect, and perimeter security
- Experience with IBM API Connect (APIC) or Apigee and partner/B2B API integrations
- Experience with hybrid identity and GCP IAM integration
- Experience supporting multiple external integrations and API consumers
- Experience developing current-state to target-state architecture roadmaps
- Strong communication and stakeholder workshop facilitation skills
- Google Professional Cloud Architect certification – mandatory
- Preferred: Cloud Healthcare API, FHIR R4, HL7v2, EMPI/MPI
- Preferred: Healthcare interoperability and healthcare data governance
- Preferred: Multi-region DR/resilience and backup architecture
- Preferred: Dynatrace, Splunk, Wiz, CrowdStrike, ServiceNow
- Preferred: Monolith-to-microservices transformation
- Preferred: Pub/Sub for event-driven ingestion
- Preferred: GKE/Kubernetes
- Preferred: Dataplex and DLP for PHI/PII classification, lineage, and masking
