About the role

  • Project Manager leading strategic business enablement and transformation initiatives for an IT services company. Managing governance, stakeholders, Agile delivery, risks, and project lifecycle execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic projects and business enablement initiatives through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, implementation, and close-out
  • Establish project objectives, scope, success measures, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, schedules, governance processes, and delivery plans
  • Lead discovery and requirements-gathering activities, workshops, stakeholder interviews, process mapping, and solution-definition discussions
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, change requests, and competing priorities
  • Provide recommendations and escalation options to sponsors and governance bodies
  • Coordinate deliverables, approvals, communications, and project activities with internal teams, senior leaders, subject matter experts, vendors, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Prepare and present project updates, options analyses, recommendations, risks, issues, and decision materials
  • Support Agile and hybrid delivery through backlog management, roadmap planning, sprint planning, stakeholder reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate communications, marketing, digital, content, event, partnership, and stakeholder-engagement workstreams as needed
  • Improve project delivery practices, governance processes, requirements-gathering approaches, stakeholder engagement, and organizational project management maturity

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of business experience
  • At least 3–4 years leading projects, programs, organizational change initiatives, or business transformation activities
  • Post-secondary education in Project Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related discipline preferred
  • Professional project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent recognized certification
  • Advanced project planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out
  • Project lifecycle management and delivery
  • Requirements gathering, business analysis, and scope definition
  • Requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, and process mapping
  • Scope, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and change management
  • Stakeholder management, negotiation, influence, and consensus building
  • Risk, issue, dependency, and change management
  • Project governance and executive decision support
  • Executive presentations, status reporting, and recommendations
  • Cross-functional team leadership without direct authority
  • Agile, hybrid, and traditional project management methodologies
  • Backlog management, roadmap planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Organizational change and business transformation
  • Vendor, consultant, and external stakeholder coordination
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft 365 and project management, scheduling, reporting, collaboration, and backlog management tools
  • Coaching stakeholders and teams on project delivery practices and governance
