About the role

Director managing rheumatology clinical trial programs for Worldwide Clinical Trials, a global contract research organization. Supervising project managers and delivering studies within cost, time, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

Direct the delivery of projects/programs across multiple divisions within cost, time, and quality requirements
Supervise, support, train, and mentor project managers
Collaborate with Business Development on proposals and bid defense
Supervise employees and conduct performance appraisals and salary reviews as applicable
Apply company policies
Work with leadership across functional areas to develop and improve business processes
Serve as a liaison with Business Development and Bids/Contracts for client presentations and proposal development
Assist with resource utilization, policy development, and implementation of goals

Strong leadership skills
Strong financial acumen
Expert knowledge of project management principles and application
Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and resource management
Process improvement skills, especially in clinical trials, clinical development, and project management
University/college degree, life science preferred, or certification in a related allied health profession from an appropriately accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of ten (10) years of clinical pharmaceutical industry experience, including demonstrated clinical project management competency
Alternatively, more than five (5) years of supervisory experience in a health care setting and eight (8) years of clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO industries
Experience managing Rheumatology studies is required
