Pension Outsourcing Intern supporting defined benefit plan administration at WTW.
Performing calculations, data updates, benefit statements, and client support in a hybrid Montreal team.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and recurring plan administration tasks for clients' defined benefit plans, including benefit calculations and annual data updates
Assist with preparation of benefit statements
Complete tasks cooperatively with team members to ensure unified service delivery
Gain a thorough understanding of pension plan administration
Follow and update documentation materials to maintain complete, accurate work papers and audit trails
Learn and use Excellence tools and concepts for efficient, quality output and service delivery
Adhere to plan documents and government regulations when administering plans
Participate in team meetings and training activities
Assist with project work and other ad hoc client support services under the supervision of senior analysts
Provide general administration support and basic pension administration tasks
Requirements
Current university student enrolled in a program with heavy emphasis on mathematics, actuarial studies, statistics, economics, finance, or another major with significant quantitative coursework
Preference for 3rd year students
Work experience demonstrating strong technical and/or client service skills is a plus
Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions
Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a close team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Fully bilingual in French and English; Quebec only
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
