About the role

  • Pension Outsourcing Intern supporting defined benefit plan administration at WTW. Performing calculations, data updates, benefit statements, and client support in a hybrid Montreal team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and recurring plan administration tasks for clients' defined benefit plans, including benefit calculations and annual data updates
  • Assist with preparation of benefit statements
  • Complete tasks cooperatively with team members to ensure unified service delivery
  • Gain a thorough understanding of pension plan administration
  • Follow and update documentation materials to maintain complete, accurate work papers and audit trails
  • Learn and use Excellence tools and concepts for efficient, quality output and service delivery
  • Adhere to plan documents and government regulations when administering plans
  • Participate in team meetings and training activities
  • Assist with project work and other ad hoc client support services under the supervision of senior analysts
  • Provide general administration support and basic pension administration tasks

Requirements

  • Current university student enrolled in a program with heavy emphasis on mathematics, actuarial studies, statistics, economics, finance, or another major with significant quantitative coursework
  • Preference for 3rd year students
  • Work experience demonstrating strong technical and/or client service skills is a plus
  • Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a close team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Fully bilingual in French and English; Quebec only
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
