About the role

  • Account Manager Team Lead growing Zen Educate’s education recruitment platform in Vancouver. Leading commercial teams, district partnerships, city launches, and teacher dispatch operations.

Responsibilities

  • Define the region's launch and growth strategy
  • Set and achieve ambitious revenue targets
  • Own end-to-end delivery of a new city, including planning, hiring, people management, and launch
  • Own team performance outcomes and revenue goals
  • Manage a personal portfolio of key accounts as business needs evolve
  • Monitor team KPIs, identify risks, and ensure monthly deliverables are met
  • Lead and coach a commercial team of 2 to 12 Account Managers
  • Set expectations, monitor individual performance metrics, and conduct weekly operational 1:1s
  • Provide constructive feedback and implement performance improvement plans when necessary
  • Share field feedback with Product
  • Coordinate educator onboarding and marketing efforts
  • Solve compliance issues with Compliance
  • Strategize with Sales on district launches and revenue expansion
  • Foster strategic partnerships with education leaders and key district accounts
  • Improve logistics and operations for dispatching teachers and teaching assistants to schools
  • Develop tools, processes, and systems to improve performance
  • Adapt to changing startup needs and contribute wherever needed

Requirements

  • At least 3 years in a Customer Success Manager or Account Manager role
  • 6+ months of peer leadership experience
  • Proven track record of hitting/exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience managing a portfolio of customer accounts
  • Passion for positively impacting education
  • Proven ability to act with urgency and do whatever is needed to get the job done
  • Ability to lead a commercial team of 2 to 12 Account Managers
  • Ability to manage planning, hiring, people management, and launch of a new city
  • Ability to collaborate with Product, Educator Onboarding, Marketing, Compliance, and Sales
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements of states, cities, and districts
