About the role

  • HRIS specialist resolving Replicon–Oracle HCM timekeeping and payroll issues. Supporting Seaspan Shipyards’ Canadian shipbuilding operations through triage, correction, escalation, and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Oracle HCM and Replicon integration dashboards for timesheet, time entry, absence, and payroll-impacting issues
  • Triage integration errors and HR Helpdesk tickets by reviewing dashboard details, employee records, time entries, approvals, absences, and ticket information
  • Identify likely root causes, including missing approvals, incomplete timesheets, absence mismatches, schedule discrepancies, and employee assignment data issues
  • Correct basic timekeeping or data issues using approved procedures
  • Route complex or unresolved issues to Payroll, HR, Operations, supervisors, BTS Replicon support, or the HRIS functional owner
  • Track issue status, document actions, and follow up with resolver groups before payroll processing deadlines
  • Communicate with employees, supervisors, timekeepers, Payroll, HR, Operations, and BTS support
  • Maintain issue logs, recurring error summaries, and support documentation
  • Support testing and validation for integration fixes, dashboard updates, timekeeping changes, and process improvements

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline
  • 1-2 years of experience supporting Time & Labor, HRIS, workforce systems, timekeeping, employee services, or HR Helpdesk processes
  • Experience with Replicon, Oracle HCM or similar timekeeping applications
  • Strong understanding of timekeeping practices for hourly/Trades workforce and overtime rules
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to investigate issues using dashboards, reports, ticket notes, and system records
  • Good problem-solving skills, including identifying patterns, likely root causes, and escalation paths
  • Clear communication skills, including explaining timekeeping issues to non-technical users
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and recognize when escalation is needed
  • Good organizational skills, including tracking multiple open issues and following up before payroll deadlines
  • Ability to document recurring issues, update support notes, and contribute to user guidance or process documentation
  • Required to obtain and maintain security clearance through the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
