About the role
- Backend Software Engineer needed for a long-term contract in Toronto, ON. Must have 3+ years experience with Python/Go and distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code. Support projects from design through successful delivery. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive results. Participate in code reviews and share technical knowledge. Promote engineering best practices through knowledge sharing and technical discussions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with high-level programming languages; Python and Go are a plus. BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of distributed systems and relational or NoSQL databases. Experience building, debugging, and maintaining highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems. Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure. Nice to have: Experience using AI tools.
