- Senior Financial Analyst role providing financial planning, analysis, and insights to drive strategic targets. Requires 1-3 years finance experience, advanced Excel, and experience with financial modeling.
Responsibilities
- Develop understanding of major financial performance drivers and assist business decision makers in the development of action plans to meet financial goals and mitigate risks. Preparation of meaningful and innovative performance reporting that communicates the story behind the financial performance to senior management. Collaborate across the organization to ensure the financial impacts of key strategic initiatives are accurately reflected within our financial plans and forecasts. Be a leader of change – challenging current approaches and fostering new ways of approaching business questions. Bring efficiencies to the reporting and forecasting and planning processes.
Requirements
- University degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance. 1 to 3 years progressive experience in finance roles. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including (complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and data modeling) is essential. Reporting and forecasting experience, as well as experience with financial modeling including experience using Power BI. Working towards a professional accounting/financial designation (CPA, CFA), or Post Graduate Degree (MBA) considered an asset. Innovative mindset to help drive the transformation of the broader FP&A team. Drive – Results oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, maintaining attention to detail while retaining focus on the big picture. Critical Thinking – Be able to think through business problems wholistically. Comfortable analyzing and interpreting large, complex datasets from multiple sources to drive business insights and strategic decisions to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
