About the role

  • Responsible for providing support to functional areas including Payroll Services, Administration, Recruitment, Compensation, Employee Relations and Learning & Development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front line support and guidance to leadership in all functional areas of human resources, support employees with safe and early return to work, assist with payrolls, maintain education files, manage Tuition Assistance program, partner with third party vendors, administer employee benefit plan, manage performance management/MBO process, maintain compensation matrices, create HR documentation, handle Employment Equity reporting, participate in HR projects, create ad-hoc reporting, and comply with laws and policies.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary Degree in Human Resources or related field; Two (2) years human resources experience; Bilingual (English/French) preferred; Knowledge of federal labour and employment law, Employment Equity, Canadian Human Rights Code, Canada Labour Code Part II preferred; Experience with ATS, HRIS and Timekeeping systems; Possess sensitivity and tact; Ability to work under minimal supervision; Excellent time management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to manage competing priorities; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office; Professional communication skills; High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
