Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Employee Relations – Oversee full-cycle HR including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, performance management, employee relations, and HRIS administration. HR Administration & Compliance – Maintain accurate HR records, manage attendance and leave, support payroll processes, and ensure compliance with ESA, WSIB, and OHSA. Recruitment & Onboarding – Support hiring managers with job postings, interviews, offers, and onboarding coordination. Payroll & Benefits Support – Process timesheets, pay changes, vacation, reimbursements, and administer benefits and WSIB/EI documentation. Health & Safety Leadership – Lead workplace safety programs, conduct inspections, JHSC walkouts, incident investigations, and promote safe work practices on the floor. Audits & Certifications – Support internal and external audits. Reporting & Continuous Improvement – Develop HR and H&S reports, conduct audits, support performance reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
CHRP designation (required). College Diploma in HR, Health & Safety, or related field (required). 5+ years of HR experience. Strong knowledge of Ontario ESA, OHSA & WSIB. Manufacturing/industrial experience. CRSP and/or JHSC certification. Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Confident, proactive, and collaborative leadership style.
