About the role

Join a growing financial services organization as a Java Engineer on their Payments Technology team, building and enhancing critical payment platforms supporting ACH, Wires, RTP, and FedNow. You'll design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through production support. Partner with Product, Operations, Compliance, QA, and engineering teams to deliver secure and scalable payment solutions. Develop integrations with banking partners, third-party providers, and internal systems. Support highly reliable, secure, and compliant transaction processing platforms. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to monitoring, observability, and operational excellence efforts.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience. Strong experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot/Spring Framework. Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL. Experience working with AWS.

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 – $130,000, depending on experience, skills, and overall qualifications. In addition to base compensation, employees are eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus program.
