About the role
- Senior Information Security Advisor needed for a 6-month contract in Scarborough, ON. Provide security advisory, risk assessments, and cloud controls in banking.
Responsibilities
- Providing information security advisory services to business lines across the organization; acting as a central point of reference for security policies, standards, risk controls, and data protection; completing threat and risk assessments across complex data, application, cloud, and networking environments; advising on secure and cost-effective implementation of security controls; supporting projects, initiatives, and business teams in making informed security risk decisions; helping improve security governance, compliance, and internal control processes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as an IT Security Analyst, Security Advisor, or similar role; 5+ years of recent hands-on cloud security controls experience, ideally with GCP and/or Azure; strong experience with cloud architecture security and secure deployments; 5+ years of hands-on experience with security controls and threat/risk assessment techniques; experience with security technologies such as IAM, PKI, intrusion prevention, vulnerability assessments, or related security mechanisms.
