About the role
- Senior QA Specialist for a 12-month contract in Toronto, focusing on enterprise backend, API, and database testing. Must have experience with Selenium/Playwright, REST/SOAP, SQL, and HL7 FHIR.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist, you will be responsible for enterprise QA/testing of large-scale backend applications, distributed systems, APIs, integrations, database validation, and end-to-end workflow testing. You will build and maintain UI automation frameworks using Selenium or Playwright, perform API and web service testing, validate database integrity, and ensure healthcare interoperability standards are met.
Requirements
- Must Have: Enterprise QA/testing experience with large-scale backend applications, distributed systems, APIs, integrations, database validation, and end-to-end workflow testing. Advanced UI automation experience, including building Selenium or Playwright automation frameworks from scratch using Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript. Strong API and web service testing experience, including REST/SOAP, Postman, REST Assured, ReadyAPI, API contract validation, payload validation, authentication, and backend integration testing. Strong database validation and data integrity verification experience using SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or similar database technologies. Healthcare interoperability experience, preferably hands-on testing of HL7 FHIR resources and/or HL7 v2/v3 messages and data structures.
