About the role

Liaison Engineering Professional joining the A220 aircraft engineering team in Mirabel. Responsible for analyzing and dispositioning repairs for structural non-conformances.

Responsibilities

Design, analyze and disposition repairs for structural non-conformances in a timely manner
Rapidly design repairs based on equivalent strength/stiffness to the surrounding structure
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications and provide guidance to methods and production staff
Adhere to Material Review Board (MRB) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures
Lead internal audits in accordance with ISO, Transport Canada, NADCAP and Six Sigma standards
Maintain current knowledge of aircraft structural developments to recommend innovations
Participate in projects to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve financial performance
Work closely with other engineering disciplines to achieve business objectives

University or college degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, or a related field
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Material Review Board (MRB) or airframe design in aerospace
In-depth knowledge of aircraft structures and system installation technical requirements
Strong sense of commitment and willingness to accept responsibility in a high-pressure production environment
Hands-on experience using CATIA V5
Bilingual (French and English)
