About the role
- Supply Chain Specialist ensuring efficient operations within AlgaeCal's Vancouver-based supply chain team. Focused on maintaining product flow, inventory management, and supplier accountability.
Responsibilities
- Keep products moving, inventory balanced, suppliers accountable, and costs under control.
- Identify where supply chains are slowing down, understand why, and implement better processes.
- Work across manufacturing, procurement, inventory, warehousing, and shipping.
- Ensure strong supply chains built on accurate data, clear systems, and consistent follow-through.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including manufacturing, procurement, inventory, and shipping.
- A strong track record of building and improving supply chain processes across multiple distribution channels.
- Experience gathering quotes, negotiating supplier terms, issuing purchase orders, verifying invoices, and managing supplier performance.
- Experience using forecasting tools and inventory audits to prevent stockouts, overstocks, and delays.
- The ability to plan purchase orders while balancing inventory targets, cash flow, and budget requirements.
- Experience managing inventory across Amazon FBA and other e-commerce platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret shipment, inventory, and fulfillment data.
- Experience identifying bottlenecks and implementing practical process improvements.
- Experience creating SOPs and training team members on new systems and workflows.
- A good working knowledge of Lean methodologies.
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems. If you’ve worked on ERP implementation we’ll probably swoon.
