About the role

  • Partnerships Lead expanding Alternative Payments’ financial operating system for SMBs across North America. Building referral partnerships from cold outreach through activation and ongoing management.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Partner motion end-to-end, from cold outreach through onboarding, activation, and ongoing relationship management
  • Run structured activation sequences with new partners through active referral generation
  • Represent Alternative Payments at key industry conferences and events
  • Collaborate with internal Sales and Marketing teams to maximize partnership impact on new business
  • Propose improvements and establish a repeatable partnership motion scalable across new ecosystems
  • Mentor and support team members, sharing knowledge and fostering growth
  • Aggressively expand the Partnership Program across North America

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in SaaS sales and/or partnerships
  • Proven track record in outbound sales motions, including cold outreach and pipeline generation
  • Experience building relationships from zero
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Emotional intelligence to develop complex, trust-based partnerships over time
  • Proactive and highly organized mindset
  • Ability to operate independently and solve problems without a playbook
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Regular travel required
  • Nice to have: experience in FinTech, payments, startups, or similarly fast-moving environments
  • Nice to have: entrepreneurial background or evidence of building something from scratch
  • Nice to have: comfort representing a company at industry conferences and events
  • Nice to have: track record of mentoring, leading projects, or driving organizational improvements
  • Nice to have: comfort working in fast-paced, dynamic, and high-impact environments
