About the role

  • IT Manager leading the technology team in a transportation and logistics environment. Responsible for project management, operational support, and strategic planning for IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of a new Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects aligned with business objectives
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
  • **Strategic Planning**
  • Collaborate with senior management to align IT strategies with business goals
  • Identify opportunities for technology improvements and cost savings
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • **Vendor Management**
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors and service providers
  • Ensure service level agreements are met and maintain positive vendor relationships
  • **Security and Compliance**
  • Implement and maintain robust IT security measures
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection standards

Requirements

  • **Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management roles
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably with TMS implementations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or relevant technical certifications are a plus
