About the role
- Full Stack Application Developer building scalable Java and Python enterprise applications for Arctiq, a global technology services company. Developing APIs, integrations, microservices, and cloud-native solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications using Java and Python
- Build responsive web applications and user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
- Design scalable microservices and cloud-native applications
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, UX designers, and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Develop integrations with enterprise applications, databases, and third-party services
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Troubleshoot application issues and optimize system performance
- Support automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments
- Maintain technical documentation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional application development experience
- Strong hands-on development experience with Java
- Strong programming experience with Python
- Experience developing modern web applications and RESTful APIs
- Experience with object-oriented design principles and software design patterns
- Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Git version control
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred: Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework
- Preferred: Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
- Preferred: Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Preferred: Experience developing microservices architectures
- Preferred: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Preferred: Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- Preferred: Experience with automated testing frameworks and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Preferred: Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
