About the role

  • Director of Engineering at Fluent Software Group driving AI product innovations and mentoring a team in a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of AI-powered workflows and features based on large language models (LLMs) to enhance product capabilities and developer velocity
  • Be an active, hands-on user of AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Copilot, or equivalent) and champion their adoption across the team
  • Establish and maintain engineering best practices: code review, CI/CD, testing, and observability
  • Design and evolve cloud-native applications with expert mastery of modern component-based front-end architectures and server-side rendering
  • Design and optimize relational database architectures for high-concurrency environments
  • Deepen expertise with major cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), including serverless architecture and robust CI/CD pipelines
  • Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a high-performance culture, modern DevOps practices, and continuous learning
  • Bridge complex business requirements and technical execution, ensuring delivery of robust cloud applications
  • Guide the team through technology transitions, ensuring alignment, morale, and a long-term scalability-focused vision

Requirements

  • Proven track record designing and scaling modern web architectures in a fast-paced environment
  • Expert mastery of modern component-based front-end architectures and server-side rendering
  • Significant experience designing and optimizing relational database architectures for high-concurrency environments
  • Deep knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), serverless architecture, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical strategy into concrete business value for executive stakeholders
  • Experience in a portfolio environment or with multiple software products (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of post-acquisition integration or scaling of acquired software products (nice to have)
  • Experience in vertical-market SaaS or enterprise software (nice to have)
