About the role
- Senior software developer building SaaS applications for service businesses. Leading architecture, automated testing, AWS/Terraform development, and end-to-end delivery.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the team's technical anchor and tech lead
- Define technical targets and architecture rules
- Understand and challenge story requirements
- Advise the team on technology best practices
- Review code and test features developed by peers
- Communicate technical blockers before they become emergencies
- Design and deliver robust end-to-end technical solutions
- Write automated tests
- Use AI tools daily
- Deploy the software the team builds
- Contribute to deployment pipelines and consider access and customer data during solution design
- Work remotely or from the office according to preference
- Attend occasional team activities at the Trois-Rivières office
Requirements
- 5+ years in software development
- Hands-on experience building SaaS applications
- Real experience with AWS and Terraform
- Experience with, and enthusiasm for, automated testing
- College diploma in computer science (minimum)
- DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and monitoring is an asset
- Interest or experience in application security, including access management and OWASP, is an asset
- Experience developing AI solutions is an asset
- Experience with Java, GoLang, Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, MySQL, Linux, AWS, and Terraform
- Passion for programming, teamwork, helping people, and adapting to change
- Willingness to attend occasional team activities at the Trois-Rivières office
