Production Supervisor leading afternoon-shift door manufacturing operations for ASSA ABLOY in Woodbridge, Ontario. Driving safety, quality, scheduling, team development, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Oversee production operations in the Door Department during the afternoon shift
Lead teams to achieve safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery goals
Lead and support production teams to meet daily schedules and performance targets
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Train, coach, and develop employees while promoting teamwork and engagement
Monitor production metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational needs
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and control costs
Support coverage for other supervisors when needed
Complete special assignments as assigned
Requirements
Post-secondary education in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
4–6 years of manufacturing supervision or management experience
Union environment experience preferred
Lean manufacturing and process improvement experience
Production scheduling and work planning experience
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
CNC and metal-forming experience considered an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
Flexibility to work other shifts for coverage as required
