Regional Account Manager educating healthcare professionals and building diagnostic pathways for HPP treatments at Alexion, a rare disease medicines company. Driving KAM plans and territory sales across Western Canada.
Responsibilities
Ensure territory healthcare professionals are aware of and understand the detrimental consequences of hypophosphatasia (HPP)
Create and maintain customer relationships
Create referral and diagnostic pathways
Develop and execute key account/customer plans through Key Account Management (KAM)
Coordinate effectively with medical partners and internal cross-functional partners
Develop and maintain disease, diagnostic, and product knowledge to educate customers and drive action
Develop insights-based KAM plans for top accounts and treatment centers, including decision-maker prioritization and situational analysis
Collaborate cross-functionally to drive KAM plans and achieve best patient outcomes
Provide high-level customer service to key partners
Apply marketing tools and execute promotional activities, programs, and regional congress opportunities
Plan, organize, and execute local and digital activities for customer engagement
Achieve or exceed sales objectives in the assigned territory
Present and maintain strategically targeted KAM plans
Track activities and submit accurate, timely sales reports
Complete assigned training on time
Manage time, CRM tools, resources, and workload efficiently
Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable requirements
Lead customer-focused and patient-centered tactics and activities with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, and Patient Advocacy teams
Collaborate with Marketing, Diagnostics, Access, and Medical to identify opportunities and develop action plans
Travel across Western Canada regularly and occasionally to Ontario, including overnight and occasional weekend travel
Align activities with applicable laws, regulations, and Alexion policies
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (BSc is preferable)
Minimum of 10+ years of field-based sales experience
At least 2 years of specialty-care sales experience
Detailed track record of consistently delivering exceptional sales results
Proven ability to gain access and develop professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in community and academic centers
Ability to work effectively independently and in an interdependent, team-oriented environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Influential presentation style and ability to uncover and address customer needs and manage concerns and questions
Self-motivated, urgent, well-organized, and collaborative approach to problem-solving
Ability to establish rapport and build relationships with a diverse customer base
Strong business, analytical, and clinical acumen
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to travel regularly across Western Canada and occasionally to Ontario, including overnight and occasional weekend travel
