About the role

  • Program/Project Risk Analyst modelling risks for AtkinsRéalis’ engineering and construction projects. Managing schedules, costs, workshops, reports, and client risk strategies across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client project team relationships to support project risk management
  • Understand projects and interrogate client-issued scope, schedule, and estimate documentation
  • Facilitate risk workshops and maintain suitable records of discussions
  • Apply AACE classes and understand their implications
  • Input and run schedule modelling software
  • Create slide decks, executive summaries, and full project reports using standard templates
  • Draft report text and perform QA checks on documentation before client issue
  • Draft risk content for RFPs
  • Develop and update internal risk management training materials
  • Support internal project risk management and advise on strategies for projects and proposals
  • Interrogate MS Project and Primavera P6 to recreate high-level schedules for modelling
  • Interrogate cost information to classify project costs and extract contingency
  • Use @Risk to generate cost model information and model various scenarios
  • Maintain and update internal processes, procedures, and work instructions
  • Generate risk management opportunities with external clients
  • Manage multiple project workloads concurrently and prioritize work
  • Conduct workshops virtually or travel to client-required locations

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, Construction, or related education and combined experience
  • Minimum 15 years of related experience in a design/construction environment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in risk modelling
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6; creating projects from scratch is essential
  • Proficiency with risk modelling software; @Risk is essential
  • Familiarity with Safran, PRC, or ARM risk software desired
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while balancing and prioritizing workloads
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Bilingual French/English is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of English is required because more than 80% of the workload serves clients, partners, or projects outside Québec
