About the role

  • Technical Program Lead overseeing the planning and execution of blockchain programs for Avalanche Foundation. Collaborating with global teams to deliver innovative solutions in Web3 technology.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end program delivery across cross-functional and cross-organisational workstreams, from scoping and resourcing through to launch and retrospective
  • Program plans with clear milestones, dependencies, risk registers, and acceptance criteria, adapting delivery frameworks pragmatically to each program
  • Coordination across engineering, research, security, legal, and finance, resolving blockers and keeping workstreams aligned
  • Drafting and scoping technical Statements of Work for external software development, protocol integrations, and security audit engagements
  • Security audit programs end-to-end: coordinating with internal engineering and external auditors, tracking findings through to remediation and sign-off
  • Vendor and delivery partner management with accountability to agreed scope, quality standards, and timelines
  • Clear, concise program reporting for senior leadership and the Foundation board
  • Technical risk identification and delivery decisions informed by deep knowledge of blockchain infrastructure, consensus mechanisms, on-chain governance, token economics, smart contract architecture
  • Credible technical engagement with internal teams and external ecosystem partners

Requirements

  • Proven background as a Senior or Technical Program Manager, in blockchain, Web3, or a technically demanding fast-moving environment
  • Strong grasp of software development lifecycles and technical delivery
  • Track record managing multiple concurrent programs across cross-functional teams
  • Experience drafting and managing technical SOWs and vendor contracts
  • Familiarity with security protocols around digital asset management, token movements, multisig wallet operations, custody, and direct experience coordinating security audits or vulnerability remediation programs
  • Strong risk management instincts and pragmatic problem-solving
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to move between technical and non-technical stakeholders without losing fidelity in either direction.
