About the role
- Senior ETL Engineer building Informatica, SQL, Salesforce, and cloud data pipelines. Supporting enterprise analytics and integration within Manulife’s regulated financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter and/or IICS
- Build and optimize data pipelines, transformations, and workflows aligned with data warehousing and integration best practices
- Partner with application and business teams to integrate data from Salesforce and other enterprise platforms
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ETL process optimization
- Contribute to cloud-based data initiatives
- Support continuous improvement of data engineering standards, documentation, and delivery practices
- Collaborate with business partners, architects, and cross-functional technology teams
- Support complex data initiatives within a regulated financial services environment
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of overall experience in software and data engineering within large enterprise environments
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or IICS, including complex ETL design and development
- Strong expertise in ETL architecture, data warehousing concepts, data integration patterns, and advanced SQL with relational databases
- Practical experience integrating data with Salesforce and other enterprise systems
- Working knowledge of Python for data processing or automation
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern data ecosystems; Azure preferred
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity with middleware and integration technologies and integration patterns
- Prior experience in life insurance, long-term care, annuities, or other regulated financial services environments is preferred
- Experience supporting enterprise data modernization or cloud migration initiatives is preferred
- Exposure to data governance, data quality, or regulatory reporting requirements is preferred
- Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to technical design discussions
