Senior Business Analytics Specialist translating technical subjects into actionable business insights for Aviso Wealth's financial services.
Responsibilities
Produce and distribute business reports for internal and external stakeholders, including ad‑hoc data mining across unstructured and disparate data sources.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and documentation of all data, reports, assumptions, and methodologies.
Serve as the Asset Management data steward, working with NEI and other providers to validate and maintain high‑quality source data for the data warehouse.
Partner with third‑party data management teams on schema changes and new solutions, including reviewing business requirements, writing technical specifications, and completing system testing.
Influence cross‑functional teams to prioritize Asset Management needs on the data services roadmap, including enhancements to legacy tools.
Apply prescriptive and predictive analytics to strengthen reporting, surface insights to senior leaders, and translate recommendations into action.
Lead research and experimentation as a squad leader to advance DNA strategy within the AI product roadmap.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM or business field; 5+ years analytics experience in Asset Management
Certifications in AI/ML or Data Engineering
Experience utilizing Databricks to enable scalable data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business insights
Experience in federated analytics environments (preferred)
Skilled with SQL, modern BI tools and large, diverse datasets
Working knowledge of Confluence, Jira, and DevOps practices for tracking and documentation
Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and strong problem solver
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills with an ability to anticipate business needs and align analytics with strategic priorities
Clear communicator able to translate complex insights for non‑technical audiences
Canadian Securities Course is required and MBA or CFA designation is considered an asset
Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
