About the role
- Junior Developer for Babcock, an international defense company. Responsible for developing web applications and APIs using modern technologies in Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive and scalable web applications using modern technologies
- Develop business logic and APIs for data transactions
- Build and maintain database structures and capabilities of web solutions
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues
- Provide analytical and technical support for requests and projects
- Collaborate with solutions team to write technical documentation
- Work with teams throughout the software development lifecycle
Requirements
- Experience of development processes under the Agile/Scrum methodology
- Proficiency in frontend and backend technologies and languages
- Experience using web technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and frameworks like .NET (MVC, Core, Web Forms)
- Experience in relational database design and maintenance using Oracle PLSQL or MSSQL / T-SQL
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and third-party web services integration
- Ability to write testable code with unit tests and integration tests
- Proficiency in UI/UX design principles
- Experience using version control systems like Azure DevOps / Git
- Technical writing skills for documentation
- Self-motivated and an effective team player
- Good organization skills in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong communication skills for technical issues
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, Crystal Reports, Kendo UI, Angular
- Experience using cloud platforms, such as Azure / Entra
- Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
- Eligible for Canadian Secret Security Clearance
