About the role

  • Data governance expert operationalizing data strategy, quality, and governance at Beneva. Advising business, corporate, and technology teams across its insurance and financial-services operations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and govern the key pillars of the data strategy and its roadmap, including data quality, prioritization of critical data, and development of data domains
  • Deploy the enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a focus on data quality, protection, and value creation
  • Support and advise the data stewardship network, business sectors, and corporate functions in adopting data management practices
  • Define and deploy the frameworks, roles, responsibilities, and operating model required to manage and improve the quality of strategic data assets
  • Support business sectors in identifying their priorities and implementing their roadmaps
  • Participate in the design and deployment of the toolkit related to the capability model and data management components
  • Recommend and coordinate the implementation of solutions to prevent or resolve data-related incidents
  • Support the deployment and use of data management and governance technologies, including the business glossary, data catalog, data inventory, and master data management tools
  • Design and deliver training and awareness activities
  • Contribute to governance forums and bodies to promote the sustainable adoption of practices and the development of a data-driven culture

Requirements

  • Hold a university degree and have at least 10 years of experience in a data-related field such as information technology, business intelligence, business administration, law, actuarial science, statistics, or an equivalent field
  • Have at least ten (10) years of relevant professional experience in roles related to data management, governance, quality, architecture, operations, or value creation, including at least four (4) years in data governance or data quality
  • Possess expertise in data management, including data protection and value creation, particularly data integrity, regulatory compliance, information security, risk management, and data lifecycle management
  • Excellent knowledge of data management capabilities and their interdependencies
  • Proficiency in one or more data management methodologies, with the ability to implement them enterprise-wide
  • Experience defining and evolving business processes or deploying training and awareness programs
  • Understand the interdependencies among data strategy, data governance, and data management components, and be able to explain them clearly to non-specialists
  • Advanced proficiency in French, both spoken and written
  • Intermediate proficiency in English, both spoken and written
