About the role
- Expert AI Governance Advisor defining responsible AI governance, risk controls, and regulatory practices at Beneva. Supporting insurance and financial services through ethical, compliant AI adoption.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the establishment and operationalization of the artificial intelligence governance framework
- Define, evolve, and ensure the application of the artificial intelligence governance framework, including policies, directives, processes, procedures, and controls covering the entire AI solution lifecycle
- Operationalize the artificial intelligence governance framework through the various dedicated governance bodies
- Develop and enhance governance practices applicable to generative AI, machine learning, agentic AI, and emerging technologies
- Maintain strategic awareness of the regulatory landscape, industry practices, and expectations of oversight bodies
- Conduct, review, and challenge risk assessments for AI solutions
- Design and evolve methodologies, criteria, tools, and mechanisms for assessing artificial intelligence-related risk
- Define governance requirements and controls applicable to the AI solution lifecycle
- Act as a subject-matter advisor to business teams and specialized partners
- Integrate AI governance requirements into the inventory, classification, monitoring, and portfolio management processes for AI solutions
- Produce and present governance metrics, analyses, and reports to senior management and decision-making bodies
- Promote the adoption of an AI risk management culture by facilitating governance forums and supporting stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a data-related field such as computer science, business intelligence, business administration, actuarial science, statistics, or an equivalent discipline
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in roles related to AI model development, AI governance, data governance, data utilization, data protection, data management disciplines, compliance, or the operationalization of governance frameworks
- Expertise in AI model development, data integrity, regulatory compliance, information security, risk management, and model lifecycle management
- Proficiency with quantitative tools and programming
- Knowledge of one or more data management methodologies, with the ability to apply them at the enterprise level
- Experience defining and evolving business processes or deploying training and awareness programs
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, such as the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) guideline on the use of AI
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written
- Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written
