About the role

  • Bilingual Nurse Case Manager coordinating patient drug coverage and reimbursement for BioScript Solutions across Canada. Managing healthcare-provider communication, insurance submissions, appointments, and pharmacy processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned patient reimbursement and coordination cases for the NavieGo branch
  • Facilitate the entire patient journey and ensure communication among all parties
  • Serve as the single point of contact for assigned healthcare providers
  • Coordinate prescription drug coverage and reimbursement processes
  • Complete and submit documentation to insurance companies and public funding programs
  • Coordinate with insurance companies, physician offices, and healthcare professionals
  • Coordinate clinic appointments and drug deliveries within required timelines
  • Support and guide patients and healthcare providers throughout the reimbursement process
  • Build trusted relationships with patients and healthcare providers
  • Apply best practices to maximize patient access to drug coverage
  • Coordinate pharmacy processes after funding is obtained
  • Apply knowledge of public and private funding systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline reimbursement processes and improve efficiency
  • Enhance patient experience and satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Qualified Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Practical Nurse with a valid license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer/client service and healthcare reimbursement
  • Prior oncology experience preferred
  • Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry experience is an asset
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required
  • English proficiency is required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications, including Google Apps, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work rotating shifts Monday through Friday, covering 8 AM to 8 PM
  • Professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency on telephone calls
  • Ability to organize schedules, prioritize, multitask, and meet competing deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
