About the role

  • Senior Accountant managing group accounting across BlueCat’s subsidiaries. Preparing close, reconciliations, audits, and automation improvements for an AI-driven network operations company.

Responsibilities

  • Join BlueCat’s Finance Department as a key member of the Group Accounting team
  • Manage financial operations across all subsidiaries within the BlueCat group
  • Report to the Senior Accounting Manager
  • Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, including fixed assets, inventory, prepaid expenses, and accruals
  • Own processes end-to-end, including evaluating and improving current processes and procedures
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting subledger maintenance and tie-outs
  • Investigate and resolve outstanding GL and subledger discrepancies, including legacy acquisition-related entries
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Review financial data for accuracy, identify problems, and support day-to-day operations
  • Assist in ad-hoc reporting and projects
  • Support the annual audit by preparing supporting schedules, selection support, and requested tax support
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, including automation, and participate in implementing improvements, including UAT

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an Accounting role, including GL ownership and reconciliations
  • CPA or similar designation preferred
  • 1 year post-qualified minimum
  • Audit background desirable
  • Strong, demonstrated depth in US GAAP
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Comfort learning new systems
  • NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of GL clean up and process improvements
  • Strong curiosity and initiative, with a habit of researching independently before escalating
  • Genuine interest in using AI tools to automate routine work and sharpen analysis
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines, especially around quarter- and year-end close
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to the team
