About the role

  • Senior Cyber Security Specialist delivering secure architectures, audits, and cyber risk services. Supporting BMT’s engineering mission for safer, more sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Execute work in support of client taskings and projects in Cyber Security
  • Interact with BMT capability teams to support delivery of cyber security services
  • Provide and lead cyber security advice and support for internal and external clients
  • Deliver cyber security program review and development services, including policies, standards, procedures and plans
  • Design secure architectures and develop, implement, and assess cyber security requirements and controls
  • Conduct cyber security audits, risk assessments, compliance audits, maturity assessments, gap analyses, and risk-reduction recommendations
  • Manage, train, direct, and support team members assigned to cyber security taskings
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies
  • Contribute technical expertise to internal discussions, innovation projects, and billable tasks
  • Mentor, train, and guide junior and intermediate cyber security specialists
  • Conduct technical assurance activities on deliverables
  • Act as Technical Lead and/or Technical Assurer on specified projects within BMT QMS processes
  • Participate in development and growth of the regional cyber security capability

Requirements

  • A University degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering or related field
  • A minimum 10 years of practical experience in a Cyber Security related role
  • Practical in-depth knowledge of Cyber Security, with exposure to enterprise IT and OT governance, information security, and assurance practices
  • Knowledge of cyber security and risk management frameworks, standards, and guidelines, including NIST, ISO 27001, ITSG 33, or GDPR
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Industry certifications or equivalent recognized security credentials such as CISSP, CISA, Security+, Network+, OT, and AI are desirable
  • Involvement in cyber security communities such as ISC2 or ISSA is desirable
  • Bilingual English and French is desirable
